A client wanted to surprise their husband with a personal LEGO set of their newly built home for Christmas. I truly loved the idea that when you build a home, why not build it in LEGO too?
The design includes a fully furnished interior, an exterior patio area, and even their pets in Minifigure scale. This set features a removable roof and contains over 6,300 pieces to ensure every detail is captured.
Some of the challenges I faced included creating an interior with as much detail as possible while keeping it at a manageable scale. The exterior of the house had vertical boarding, and using modified 1x2 plates with door rails helped create the detailed wood appearance. Additionally, the roof needed to be both supported and strong enough to be removed to view the full interior.
